Starstruck

I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. Philippians 4:11b,12 NLT

Some would say that I was slightly obsessed, others borderline crazy. I liked to say it was a healthy admiration. Who was I kidding? I had a major crush with a girl on TV. Her name is Beverley Mitchell from the show 7th Heaven. If you ever watched the series she was the middle sister Lucy. Ever since I first saw her while show surfing it was more than the channels that were skipping. So, you can imagine how excited I was when a friend told me there was a cruise boat leaving from California with an opportunity to meet and hang out with her!

I started working on what I would say and how I would act. I had to make sure I didn’t seem too weird or stumble over my words. I knew I had to some how some way make her seem to be just another person and in the short period of time find a way for her to be intrigued by me. This might be harder than I thought. All my thoughts and excitement continued to build until I looked at the calendar. That was the same weekend I was already committed to speaking at a youth rally! Why!

I was on cloud nine one minute and buried six feet under the next. In my self inflicted depression I started contemplating life in general. What if I were famous? What if I had people who wanted to know me or be with me? That would be the life! The more I thought about it the more I realized that while I wasn’t a movie star or the starting shortstop for the Detroit Tigers, God has certainly blessed me with some amazing things. Take a moment and be thankful for what you do have. You may not be rich and famous to your friends and classmates, but to God, you’re a Rockstar.

I'm a major computer geek, so I've always got at least 2 computers in pieces around my room, and one that might work, if I left it alone long enough! I've built maybe 5 of them but repaired countless more, so feel free to ask if you have any questions there.

Otherwise I'm pretty much just a gamer, Love my Xbox and FPS games like that, and other kinds of stuff as the mood hits. For example, the last couple nights I've been dabbling in researching quantum theory, and genetics... oh, and getting more involved with Linux. Can you tell I'm a geek?!

Last year I had the chance to try-out for my schools Color Guard team, and I made it.

For those who don't know, Color Guard is pretty much the group that twirls the flags during half-time at football games.

I love it. It's pretty much one of the only things I actually enjoy that also helps to keep me active. I also love getting into every football game for free. ;]

My biggest hobby is... piano. (Really? =O no way!) Seriously though, I do love it. I admit it gets tedious at times like right now when performances are looming, but most of the time it's awesome to be able to sit down and jam with friends or figure out a song that's playing in my head. Thank you, Lord, for the gift of music!
Aside from that, I like taking hikes in the woods or up mountains. In fact, just about anything outdoors is fun- I love canoeing!
I'm not a gamer; I can fix computers, but I try to avoid tinkering with them because it usually leads to frustration and pain. Mac fanboy, all the way.

Hey Ghost, I like geeky stuff as well. I started a job today working in programing. (Dont know much though) Anyway, the guy I work for is running a linux base but for xp stuff he runs VM ware. His puter got T drive in it and he hosts his website off of it. Pretty cool, although he is only running like 4 gb ram. Also I just orderd a broke 360 elite for $143. Thats a deal. :)just need to fix the disk drive
