I Have A Dream

There are certain phrases that will stick with you forever. Certain moments in your past that will play over and over in your head. Then there are certain events that will stick with humanity for ages to come. One of those events is recognized today, one of those people who changed the way the world looks at itself was born. His name was Martin Luther King, Jr.
What does someone have to do in order to have a boulevard in almost every metro city named after them? Change the course of history. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke out against racism and for equal rights. He also did it in a way that shocked many people. Not with violence, but with love, with passion, with a dream. Where he could have called for riots, he called for boycotts. When he could have yelled about the injustice that was being done, he spoke of what ought to be.
He wasn’t just a great person with a great cause, he was also a Christian. Someone who let God’s calling be known and he pursued it with everything he had to the point of his death.
All through the Bible we read about people being a martyr and giving their lives for Christ. Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of these type of people. Persecuted for his faith, ridiculed for is beliefs, and assassinated for his dream. Take the time to learn about his legacy. Then go one step further and give your life over to God completely in everything and watch what dreams God has in store for you become a reality.

What I like to do for fun: I like reading, watching movies, hanging out with my friends, and doing things with my youth group.
Anything else I'd like to say: I'm really happy I found this site because I've never been able to read my Bible consistently or do any kind of devotional for more than a few days in a row.. I think that having this resource online, where I spend a lot of time, will really help! =D

What I like to do for fun: I LOOOOVE music. I used to read a lot, but I don't have too much time to anymore. :/ It seems that I actually like math, contrary to my long beliefs. I like the problem-solving, I guess. I look forward to my school's Mission 3:16 meetings every week. I don't enjoy homework, but for some reason I like staying up late. It lets me be alone, but not lonely because I know my family is still home (if asleep).

XD I guess I'd like to say that I'm at the most spiritual I've ever been, and I'm working to read the Bible more, spend more time with God, and live his truth as much as I possibly can. My mission club is reading "Lies Young Women Believe," and I'm trying to stop believing them. It's hard. :/
